How to compare two PDF files

  1. Choose two PDFs: the old version first, then the new one.
  2. Use the arrows if they are in the wrong order.
  3. Select Compare to see every change, and download the report if you need it.

Common questions

What does the tool compare?

The text of both files, line by line and word by word. Changes in pictures, colours or layout are not shown.

Does it work with scanned PDFs?

Only after the scans have text. Run OCR PDF on both files first, then compare them.

Are my documents uploaded?

No. Both files are compared on your device, which matters for contracts and other private documents.
