What does OCR do?

It reads the letters in a scan or photo and adds real text to the page. The PDF looks the same, but now you can search, select and copy the words.

Which languages are supported?

English, Arabic, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese, German, Portuguese, Turkish, Indonesian and Polish.

How accurate is it?

Clear, straight scans give very good results. Blurry photos, handwriting and unusual fonts cause more mistakes, so check important numbers.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Text recognition runs on your device. Only the language data is downloaded, once.
